Lost in the mangrove! - Sharon Underwood

For her birthday, Ree and her grandmother go on a special trip to visit the famous Caroni Bird Sanctuary, located on the island of Trinidad and home of the Scarlet Ibis. As they journey into the mangrove by boat, the tour guide points out several species of animals and unique plants along the way. Suddenly, Ree finds herself alone in the mangrove, without her grandmother! Rather frightened, Ree tries to persuade the animals she meets to help her.
