We're teaming up with our friends at Sleepy Cat Cafe to bring you casual monthly reading limes with T&T self-published and indie authors: no fuss, no queues, all books and brews!
Troy Hadeed joins us at 4 PM on Saturday 26 April to read from and chat about his popular inspirational non-fiction book, My Name is Love. It combines personal anecdote, meditative practices, and guided techniques to speak about love beyond ordinary or expected terms. The book has earned praise from OCM Bocas Prize for Caribbean Literature winner, Monique Roffey, who describes it as a title that “brings wisdom, and provokes contemplation of our wider horizons and our capacity for spiritual awareness and connection. Loving kindness leaps from every page. This book is a gem out of Trinidad, true soul reading.”
Troy will be available to answer your questions, engage with your comments, and sign copies of his book for you. We'll have copies for sale, and Sleepy Cat Cafe will be serving up their delicious hot and cold drinks, as well as pastries and other snacks for purchase.
We love and support our local creative talent, and can't wait to celebrate it at Books & Brews!
Free and open to all, no registration required!
